Tower of London Poppies

Hello friends!

As you all know some fabulous artists covered the Tower of London with beautiful red poppies to honor soldiers that were lost in Wold War 1 (I'm a very well read puppy)

My humans Kate and Will visited, along with my favorite red head Harry.  (Harry, I'm still waiting for your phone call about our trip to Vegas!) I'd personally love to go see this fabulous sight in person but unfortunately Carole wont let me leave Bucklebury Manor.  I think it's because she needs me to stand guard and watch out for those crazy squirrels.

Since I could not see the poppies in person I decided to make my own tribute to the soldiers.  I figured it would be a great tribute and plus, it might get me into the news.  What better news story then something like, "The Middleton's favorite dog creates a World War 1 tribute at Bucklebury Manor!" I mentions this briefly on twitter this morning.

I took a stroll around Bucklebury and I discovered that it was full of the prettiest flowers of all different colors and sizes.  Carole has great taste in greenery! It was at that moment that I decided that I would dig up all the flowers I saw and create my own Tower of London poppies display.  After hours of digging my 4 little paws were exhausted.  I took a step back to view my creation... it wasn't as good as the poppies at the Tower.  In fact, it just looked like a bunch of mud and broken flowers.  What did you expect? I don't have any thumbs and I'm just a puppy.  I should leave it to the experts next time.

It wasn't long before my human Carole discovered my muddy creation.  Needless to say, she was not very happy.  I instantly got washed off... and now I smell like roses, which is ironic because those are the flowers that I mostly dug up.  I'll have to figure out another way to make it into a royal photo.  Back to the puppy drawing board. Think Tilly, think!

Till next time friends. Barks and puppy licks! -Tilly Middleton
